The design team found the best color palette for the establishments by combining their understanding of the site location with their experience with another Indian cuisine store.
This new vision for Chotiwala keeps the traditional Indian aesthetic at its foundation while being modern, minimal, and clean. Throughout the room are mosaic tile highlights; the terra cotta hues evoke an ancient Indian temple, while the warm white stone walls feel decidedly modern. The roughness of the store's decaying brick walls contributes to its style's originality. The space is more permeable as a result of the brilliant light shining on the polished stone.
